Why I Created This Project
Growing up, I witnessed firsthand how media coverage can shape public perception surrounding crime and tragedy. After seeing the impact these stories can have on victims’ families and others connected to them, I wanted to explore the ethical responsibilities that come with reporting and storytelling.
Friend or Foe: Media on Trial was created to question where the line exists between informing the public and turning real experiences into entertainment.
